Business Development Executive

Genecloud is a Silicon Valley company dedicated to balancing security and accessibility for genomic data. Our team is composed of experts in both systems security and genomics, all focused on bringing together the best practices from both disciplines to enable the next generation of secure genomics applications.

Genomic science is fundamentally transforming our understanding of human health and driving the discovery of life-saving medicines. And yet, genomic information is arguably the most personal of all personal information. Our goal is to increase the amount of genomic data available for research, while simultaneously managing the disclosure of private information. 


Job Description:

  • Proactively uncover new customer or partnership opportunities

  • Lead customer relationship development and close deals

  • Assist the leadership team in the development of the Company’s sales strategy

  • Develop an aggressive plan to increase presence in target markets and meet objectives

  • Create a process that ensures goals are met and transparently communicated

  • Work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, both independently and in a collaborative team setting


  • 5 years+ experience in partnering with or selling software to biotech organizations

  • Strong understanding of the bioinformatics space

  • Both strategic and tactical ability to navigate fast paced industry, develop relationships, and understand customer needs

  • Proven track record selling SaaS software and conducting consultative sales

  • Ability to set realistic objectives and timelines, and to meet quotas

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to travel extensively, or as much as needed
