Internet Service Designer/Developer
We are looking to hire a senior developer with solid experience designing, developing and deploying Internet services and service components. The successful candidate will have expertise and experience designing services for scalability, failure resiliency, redundancy, upgradability, and for efficient access control and monitoring. S/he will be part of a team of technically strong peers, a quick starter able to efficiently integrate into a new team, and self-motivated to work productively with little direct supervision.
Individual should be able to point to a portfolio of such services currently in operation.
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- 5-10 years experience deploying commercial-grade server and server management infrastructure
- Excellent Python & Java development skills, familiarity with related development frameworks (such as Django) and pride in producing quality and efficient code in a timely manner
- Expertise in web/Internet protocols and security
- Excellent understanding of software engineering principles and practices, experience working as on a team where code quality and module boundaries matter
- Good written and verbal communication skills
