Lead Application Engineer
Description
The ideal candidate will have strong background in leading software development. S/he will lead the applications engineering team and will be working in a highly dynamic, fast changing and fluid work environment. We are seeking a talented individual to support next our generation video streaming application device development. Expertise in device and web application development. Understanding of both iOS and Android SDK is required, experience with the following programing languages and technologies: Java, JavaScript, Objective-C, Python, Ruby, C, C++, Android, iOS, Windows Mobile
The Senior Technical Lead will be responsible for overseeing the overall application development of a wide customer base. This individual will be responsible for managing multiple outsourced application development projects, and will need to ready to step in at any point and take over and complete an outsourced application. The lead will provide their strong technical expertise and functional knowledge to the development and implementation process.
Responsibilities:
- Lead team for development of multi-screen video applications for connected TV, game console, set-top boxes, tablets, and smartphones
- This role will lead teams with various staffing models of internal and external on-shore and off-shore resources
- Translating customer requirements and storyboards in technical specifications
- Coordinating overall scoping and delivery of development projects and enhancements
- Aggregate status from vendors and provide internal reporting
- Support engineering resources through the development life cycle, certification and into production
- Provide post implementation escalation and communication support
- Develop standards, repeatable processes and reusable components
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or related field
- 4 or more years as a Sr. applications engineer
- 2 or more years in a technical lead role
