Web Client/Javascript Engineer
Description
We are looking for a senior JavaScript engineer to work on a cutting-edge dynamic web application with social networking and streamlined Internet content browsing features for an Internet TV experience targeted to desktops, TVs/Set Top Boxes, and mobile devices.
The successful candidate will work with a designer to implement the look and feel, and the application will interact with server components from other teams. S/he will be part of a team of technically strong peers, a quick starter able to efficiently integrate into a new team, and be self motivated to work productively with little direct supervision.
Qualifications
- BS and MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- 5-10 years experience in programming in JavaScript, with emphasis on modern, HTML5-capable browsers and Ajax development
- Extensive knowledge of HTML, DOM, XML & CSS
- Python experience, or other backend development
- Familiarity with jQuery, HTML5
- Experience working on a team where code quality and module boundaries matter
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
