Chief Software Architect

INTERTRUST PROVIDES TECHNOLOGIES THAT PROTECT THE FLOW OF INFORMATION AS IT WAS INTENDED BY THE OWNER OF THAT INFORMATION, AND TO BENEFIT AN OPEN SOCIETY.

A new reality is emerging as we adjust to the world where sensors on everything from phones to eyeglasses to cars or medical devices track every movement, every blink of the eye, every heartbeat and location. All this collected data can help us live longer, be healthier, be more educated about our likes and dislikes and be better connected and entertained, yet significant technological and social issues exist around how this data should be properly handled.

With technology moving faster than data privacy and data security regulation, and a very lucrative market for a user’s digital profile, all of our information becomes fair game to those who want to exploit it .  An exciting world waits ahead but there is much to do to allow people to conduct commerce and protect personal and societal interests.  Intertrust's years of research and development in trusted distributed computing, peer to peer and networked security and social computing are more important than ever.

We are looking for a Chief Software Architect, with solid knowledge of security (key management, protocols), digital media and media distribution systems (e.g. video distribution services), Digital Rights Management technologies, traditional OLTP as well as “big data” service architectures, cloud deployment infrastructures.

Qualities of the individual:

  • Extensive experience with embedded systems, mobile and service architectures, and modern development frameworks for mobile clients and services

  • Proven record designing architectures for commercial products

  • Articulate “ambassador” for technologies and products

  • Hands-on development competency in selected areas of interest

Desirable:

  • Experience with API design (server side and client side)

  • Experience with digital media (codecs, media players, streaming, P2P)

Role:

  • Develop architectural proposals to support TSG product developments, based on solid understanding of current products and analysis of new product requirements.
  • Develop compelling argumentations in support of architectural proposals, both to internal development teams as well as industry partners and customers
  • Work with and guide product and development teams during the implementation of the products
