Gilles Boccon-Gibod


Gilles Boccon-Gibod brings over 20 years of digital media technology leadership and development experience. Boccon-Gibod designed the Octopus rights management engine, which is the core technology in Marlin. He is responsible for leading the development teams for Intertrust’s media products. Prior to Intertrust, Boccon-Gibod co-founded a succession of digital media companies including OpenTV in the early 1990s. At that time, he developed a set-top box operating system that continues to be used in several million devices. In addition, he co-founded MpegTV, one of the pioneers of video players on mobile devices and X-Audio, a cross-platform, cross-media middleware platform for digital audio. The X-Audio toolkit that he developed was used in hundreds of millions of applications and devices. Boccon-Gibod holds a Masters in C.S. from Telecom ParisTech.
