A Successful Mobile World Congress for Intertrust, But Also a Bit of a Worry

That’s it; Mobile World Congress (MWC), the event of the year for all things mobile (and increasingly IoT) is a wrap for 2016. Intertrust is proud to have participated with a booth this year showcasing our solutions for app security (whiteCryption), mobile video advertising (Personagraph), content protection (ExpressPlay) and genetic data (Genecloud). Our booth was in the App Planet Hall and we’re happy to say we had plenty of interest in our solutions, and we look forward to carrying on the conversations as to how we can help our potential partners increase trust in their offerings.

That said, there was one thing that was a bit worrisome. As far as we know, our whiteCryption product was the only mobile app security product on the floor at the show. Now, we do think we have the best solution for what whiteCryption does and we are happy to have an exclusive as anyone else. Still, given the activity of increasingly sensitive information being handled by mobile apps, such as access to automobiles and ATMs, this is a very important factor in the mobile app ecosystem. The need is large and we think others should make the effort to join us in educating the mobile industry.
